Days and Times : All training will take place in the afternoons from 15:00 to 18:00 at the Muay Thai Martial Arts Academy training facilities in Surat Thani . Training days are Monday to Saturday with the exception of holidays. Dates of holidays will be told to students before enrolling in the course.
Focus of Courses : These courses will focus the correct use of body parts (Muay Thai body weapons), fighting strategies and fighting combinations, wrestling strategies and the techinques of training and sparring. Please note that, because of the limited amount of course time ; body conditioning (i.e. work on reaction times, strength, speed, endurance, agility, etc.) , and sparring experience must be practised at convenient times outside of scheduled course time. We can assist and advise in the best ways to practise body conditioning and sparring , if the student so desires. |
| Introduction To Muay Thai and Self-defence : T his is a 45 hour course that will be covered in 15 days. Students attending this course will learn the basics of the art of Muay Thai, as well as Muay Thai theory concerning the body and the use of body weapons.
The Sport of Muay Thai : This is a 90 hour course that will be covered in 30 days. This course is designed for individuals who are interested in learning the basics, and continuing the practice of the sport of Muay Thai, Students will learn how to do a Muay Thai workout and will able to spar safely. This however is not professional training and student will not have to endure the very rigorous professional schedule.
Muay Thai Instructor Training : This is a 45 hour course that will be covered in 15 days and can only be taken after the successful completion of the Sport Muay Thai course. This course is designed for individuals who are interested in learning how to train Muay Thai athletes.
Muay Thai Professional Training : After successful completion of the Sport Muay Thai course, students who are interested in starting Muay Thai professional training, may make individual arrangements with Ajaan Somboon Tapina. This course will cover,(in greater detail), Muay Thai body weapon use, sparring strategies, strength techniques and endurance. |
